Thanks to your prayers and encouragement, THIS school year is pretty special for “Carly” and the other girls of Hannah Grace Homes. When she gets picked up from school, Carly enjoys the kind of welcome and support she never felt before.
After years of being abused and neglected, Carly now has house parents who actively ask about her day, help her with her basic homework (or access tutors for complex needs), and make sure she gets the right nutrition and a good night’s sleep for a productive school day.
Carly and her housemates are prayed over, every night and every morning, with the love that comes only from hope in the Gospel of Christ Jesus.
“What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common” (Acts 10:15).
Just as Jesus commanded Peter to welcome the Gentiles into the family of believers, the house parents of Hannah Grace Homes welcome each girl, like Carly, as a daughter of God the Father.
It may be a long road for Carly to fully feel like she has dignity and worth in the eyes of Jesus—complete healing rarely comes overnight, but sometimes it does. But know that your prayers make a difference as her house parents continue to love her unconditionally.
Loving patience rests at the heart of wiping away shame, fear, loneliness, bitterness, anger, and hopelessness that is born from being told “you’re less than nothing” for most of your life.
Each time you see a school bus, please join us in praying for Carly, and each of her housemates, to rest in Jesus’s care.
